At the counter
Always On Time
When we say your clothes will be ready, they are ready. Our shop in Rawdat Al Hamama is open all day and all night, so come whenever you like.
Washing
Sorted by hand, then washed
We make piles first: white things, coloured things and soft things. Most clothes come back the next day.
Steam pressing
Steam, not a hot iron
Hot steam lifts the creases out without touching the cloth. It is the safe way to press silk and velvet.
Free pickup and delivery
We come to your door
Tell us a good time and our van will come. We take the bag, wash it, and bring it back clean.
Express service
Bring it to the shop and it is ready in one hour. If our van collects it, allow about six hours.
Standard service
Most clothes come back the next day. Curtains and blankets need two days.
Who we are
Al Jawad Laundry runs its own van
When we started, we were very small. We had one desk and only two washing machines. Now we have three washing machines, two dryers, a place where we press and fold everything, and a van of our own. The same family still runs it. Every morning, before the van leaves, one of us checks the ironing table to make sure it is all done properly.
Every bag of clothes gets a tag with your name on it. Your clothes stay together under your name the whole time. They never get mixed up with clothes from another family. Washing, ironing and pressing are all done in our own shop.
Our services
All the things we do well
How it works
Four steps, no app needed
You can ring us on the phone or send us a message on WhatsApp. Just tell us where you live and when you would like us to come. You do not pay anything yet. You only pay when we bring the clean clothes back.
Pick a time
Ring us or send a message. You pick a two hour slot that suits you, any day of the week. Our van is out from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon, and again from 4 in the afternoon until 10 at night.
We collect
Our driver comes to your door and takes your bag. When he is outside your home, he sends you a message or gives you a ring, so you know he is there.
We clean and press
We sort your clothes into piles by hand. We take out any marks first. Then we wash everything, and we press and fold it by hand at the end.
We deliver
We bring your clothes back at the time you chose. Big things come hanging up inside a cover to keep them tidy, and smaller things come folded neatly.
Why us
Why families keep the same slot every week
One tag, one family
Every piece of clothing gets a little tag with your name on it before we wash it. That way nothing gets mixed up and nothing gets lost.
Sorted by hand
Before anything goes near a machine, we lay your clothes out on a big table and put them into piles. White things in one pile, coloured things in another, and soft delicate things in a third. That way the colours cannot run onto your white clothes.
Machines checked almost every month
Someone checks and mends our machines almost every month. This keeps the water at exactly the right heat. If water is too hot, woolly jumpers shrink and come out too small to wear. Getting the heat right keeps your clothes the same size as before, and keeps white things bright white.
Not happy? We do it again for free
Sometimes we get it wrong. If something comes back and you are not happy with it, just tell us. We will come and collect it again, do it properly, and you will not pay anything extra.
